Abstract
|

|
From the seeds of Zizyphus vulgaris var. spinosus, aporphine alkaloids: nuciferine, N-methylasimilobine, nornuciferine, norisocorydine, caaverine and tetrahydro-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid: (+)-coclaurine were isolated and identified. Zyzyphusine, a new quaternary aporphinium alkaloid from butanol soluble fraction was isolated and characterized by spectral data.
